Please bring glasses to your appointment if needed. - Come with clean eyes - no mascara, eyeliner, or eye cream. - If you are prone to allergies, watery eyes, or swelling, you may take a non-drowsy antihistamine like Zyrtec or Claritin. - Eat a light meal and stay well-hydrated.

Lips

  • 1 Week Before: - Start applying a hydrating lip balm daily to keep your lips soft and moisturized. - Exfoliate lips gently with a lip scrub or a soft toothbrush 2-3 times during the week. - Avoid botox, fillers, or chemical peels around the lip area. - No Retin-A, glycolic acid, or skin-thinning products near the mouth.

  • 5 Days Before (if prone to cold sores): - Begin taking L-lysine supplements (1000mg daily) or prescribed antiviral medication such as Valtrex or Zovirax, especially if you've ever had a cold sore. - This is crucial to prevent an outbreak triggered by the procedure.

  • 48-72 Hours Before: - Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or vitamin E, as these can increase bleeding and bruising. - No tanning or sunburn on or around the lip area. - Continue moisturizing lips and stay hydrated.

  • 24 Hours Before: - Do not wax, bleach, or tweeze facial hair near the lip area. - Avoid intense workouts or sweating. - No alcohol or caffeine.

  • Day of Appointment: - Drink plenty of water and eat a light meal beforehand. - Lips should be clean, soft, and moisturized. - If using a prescription antiviral, take one dose the night before and another dose the morning of the procedure.
